Hello, I’m Girija—
A self-taught illustrator who took a slightly scenic route here—from marketing, to commercial illustrations, to making picture books.
A lot of that shift was inspired by my twin nieces and the wonderfully curious, funny, unexpected way they see the world. I’m also deeply inspired by the power of books and the way they can shape how children think, feel, and understand the world around them. I believe stories can be a wonderful tool for teaching empathy and building a better tomorrow.
I recently illustrated my first picture book for a self-published author, which is now available on Amazon, and I’m excited to keep creating characters, worlds and stories that children can connect with and remember.
